140 years Küppersbusch: Check of 35,000 Euros handover to Manuel Neuer Kids Foundation

To celebrate its 140th anniversary Küppersbusch Hausgeräte GmbH launched a big charity auction in May earlier this year: A painting by the internationally renowned artist Christian Nienhaus on the Küppersbusch masterpiece was auctioned to the highest bidder. On May 15, 2015 the auction completed successfully - on the exact day where Friedrich Küppersbusch founded his stove factory 140 years ago. Mr. David Mong, Chairman and CEO of Shun Hing Group of Hong Kong, has successfully bid the masterpiece. The auction proceeds were handed to the Manuel Neuer Kids Foundation on August 18, 2015.

Hendrik Schulze-Oechtering, managing director of Manuel Neuer Kids Foundation, is enthusiastic: "On behalf of Manuel Neuer, I would like to thank you for the commitment of Christian Nienhaus and Küppersbusch in favor of the children in Gelsenkirchen. With the money that has been raised during the auction, we can implement a number of great projects" Andrea Heiner-Kruckas, Marketing Director of Küppersbusch, added: "Since both Christian Nienhaus and our company’s roots are in Gelsenkirchen, it  is very important for us to celebrate our 140th anniversary by taking a joint action that benefits the children in this city. The Manuel Neuer Kids Foundation helps children to improve their lives by encouraging them and providing them opportunities. Now that masterpiece found a new home in Asia, at the same time indicates our international alignment"

The masterpiece was exhibited at the International Design Furniture Fair in Hong Kong and can now be seen in the Küppersbusch showroom at Shop A, G/F, 19-25 Jervois Street, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.
